Every llama enthusiast knows the cardinal rule: Discard all cards with negative points to steer clear of penalties. Players strategize to avoid accumulating chips by judiciously discarding cards. Deliberate whether to play safe or take a chance by drawing a card, as victory goes to the player who adeptly evades accruing negative points.
Reiner Knizia's multi-award-winning card game stands out for its simplistic rules and enjoyable gameplay:
- Players are dealt six hand cards each.
- On their turn, players must play a card equal to or higher than the top card of the discard pile.
- Players have the option to draw a card or pass, signaling they fold for that round.
- The round concludes when a player discards all their cards or all participants pass.
- For unplayed hand cards, players receive negative points in the form of chips.
- Players who successfully rid themselves of all cards can exchange 1 or 10 chip once more.
- After multiple rounds, the player with the fewest negative points emerges victoriously.
The app also features two expansions - "LAMA Party Edition" and "LAMA Dice," preserving the fundamental gameplay while introducing new elements to enhance variety. Enjoy all three modes against up to five AI opponents or engage in friendly competition with friends and family through Pass & Play. Additionally, mixing both variants in a single game is possible.
An exclusive addition is the entirely new solo mode for "LAMA Dice," debuted globally within this app. Test your skills by aiming for optimal outcomes. To reach top scores, you must first unlock the 3rd level by excelling in prior levels, providing access to compete on the global high score leaderboard!
